The Busy Peacock play sessions

Can I reschedule or cancel a booking at The Busy Peacock?

If you have an online account with us then you can reschedule your booking quickly and easily online. Just go to My Account, log in and navigate to Orders. Here you can select your booking and click the Reschedule button to reschedule. To cancel your booking please contact us via email.

Will my child get messy in The Busy Peacock play session?

Most likely, yes! We do provide art smocks, but kids will be kids! We advise you to make sure the kids aren’t wearing their Sunday best clothes and maybe bring a spare set of clothes to leave in the car just in case!

Kid’s Parties

What is included for kid’s parties?

The standard party package includes an hour of messy and sensory play in The Busy Peacock followed by an hour in the Church hall for food and games. Hall hire only is also available.

Included in in the Church hall hire are the following items:
2 x trestle tables
4 x children’s tables
Approx. 10 small children’s chairs
6 white bench seats

*Please note that you will be required to bring everything else that you may need for the party – decorations, cutlery, plates, food (unless you have organised catering with us), drinks etc. There are no food heating or cooking facilities. Suggestions for some typical party food are sandwiches, fairy bread, popcorn, fruit platters, chips and cake! (don’t forget some matches to light the candles – and a knife!)

Alternatively you can order from our Party Food Menu or hire the BBQ – ask your Party Coordinator for more information.

What about timings?

We have two timeslots per day on the weekend 9.30-12.30 or 12.30-3.30 or one timeslot per day during the week from 12-3 (we are closed on Mondays). Whichever theme is running that week is the theme you will have on your party day.

Depending on your timeslot your party would run as follows:

9.30-10 / 1230-1 – you arrive and set up the hall

10-11 / 1-2 –  Party guests arrive and head to the shed for lots of fun activities

11-12 / 2-3  –  Head back to the hall for party food, games, presents etc

12-12.30 / 3-3.30 Guests leave and you clean up the hall

What about alcohol?
Alcohol can be ordered from the on-site cafe – ask your Party Coordinator for more information. BYO of alcohol is not permitted in the venue. Additionally The Hungry Peacock and all other on site buildings are strictly non-smoking venues.
